Learning to swim
My granddaughter, age 4, just finished her first set of swim lessons at the Asotin County Family Aquatic Center, and it was a wonderful experience for her all around.
There were only two other kids in her class, so they all got very close supervision and instruction. The teacher, a friendly young woman with infinite patience, gave them the full 30 minutes. There was very little "down time." The lessons were held in a shallow, unwaving corner of the wave pool, and the activities varied enough that the kids were never bored. One whole lesson was devoted to water safety, use of life vests, etc.
My granddaughter came out of the pool, gave me a big wet hug and said, "Oh, Grammy, that is so fun for me!"
My thanks to everyone at the ACFAC for another wonderful program!
